What makes an email address suspicious?
A domain registered days ago, no mail servers, a throwaway provider, or a name that imitates a bank, courier or government agency. A free Gmail or Outlook address claiming to be a company is also a warning sign.
Do you store the email address I check?
No. The address never leaves your browser in full. We only receive and keep the domain after the @ sign.
Can a legitimate company fail some checks?
Yes. Small businesses often skip SPF or DMARC. One missing record is not proof of a scam. Several red flags together, especially a brand lookalike or a brand-new domain, are.
What is a lookalike domain?
