Where the data comes from

Phone location and carrier data are the official central office code assignments published by the Canadian Numbering Administrator (CNAC) and the North American Numbering Plan Administrator (NANPA). We reload them daily. Email domain checks use public DNS, registry RDAP records and the open-source disposable-email-domains list. For US numbers we also aggregate the FCC Consumer Complaints Data on unwanted calls, refreshed daily. Those complaints are consumer statements and are not verified by the FCC or by us.

What we do not do

We do not show names, addresses or any personal information about who owns a number. We do not store the email addresses you check, only the domain. Visitor reports are opinions of the people who submitted them and are not verified by us.

Removing a report

If a report about your number is false or abusive, write to us from the address on this site's domain with the number and the report date, and we will review it within a few days.
